October 2006 Local Meeting

From SP Boston

The Socialist Party of Greater Boston met at noon on Sunday, 29 October 2006 in the Harvest Co-op Community Room in Cambridge. We discussed the upcoming elections, heard a report from the National Committee meeting of 21-22 October, and organized for future actions such as the 18 November Stop the War Profiteers March.

[edit] Public discussion

It's time again for America's biennial political circus. But should we really care?
Can anything really be accomplished through elections? Is there anything to be gained by voting for Democrats? Are third parties the answer or a waste of time? Can the system be improved, if so, how?
